Gah... more waste - thanks Staples! Can't wait for the time that everything is just in a download-able format (ie my notebook being so small I can't even *use discs!)

But now they’re back, and boy are they better than ever. The discs, manufactured by Flexplay, turn unreadable 48 hours after you open the package. The idea is that you can buy a relatively new movie, open it whenever you’re ready, and then never have to return it — all for the low price of $4.99. You just toss it in the trash when you’re done and move on with your life

thanks

Staples also recycles old cell phones and batteries for free. And old unused school supplies. Oh and they encourage people to recycle instead of discard those dvds. Oh well.

The whole self-destructing DVD thing is bad, but at least Staples offers recycling at all of their locations (free for small stuff, $10 for big stuff).

I often think about all the trash in this world. And where the hell it goes to. Unfortunately a lot of it gets dumped in Africa. In Europe where i spend a lot of time very strong recycling laws - hell I once got into trouble cause i threw my old tooth brush in the wrong trash can you believe?
